The National Christian College Athletic Association named Caylee Carter, a 2012 graduate of Farragut High School, an All-American, Honorable Mention as a freshman on Johnson University’s women’s basketball team. Carter averaged 12.1 points, 2.5 steals, 2.8 assists, and 6.1 rebounds per game and made 78% of her free throws.

Doug Karnes, Johnson University head coach, comments, “Caylee is more than a leader for our team. She encourages and challenges each of her teammates to be the best they can be. Her example speaks highly of the influence of her family and her God through tough and challenging times.”

Caylee is active in Young Life and maintains a 3.4 GPA at Johnson University, located in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Other Johnson University honorees include Whitney Moore of Powell, Tennessee, and Madi Phillippie of Blountville, Tennessee, both selected to the MidEast Regional second team. Amanda Shike, of Whitestown, Indiana, was selected to the Regional All Tournament team.
