Project Linus of East Tennessee invites the community to a special Celebration event on Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Concord United Methodist Church, 11020 Roane Dr., Knoxville, TN. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or simply curious about Project Linus, this event has something for everyone!

Visitors interested in learning more about Project Linus are encouraged to stop by between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., while volunteers and participants are welcome for the entire day. A special celebration will take place at approximately 1:30 p.m.

What to Expect

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a variety of activities, including:

  • Crocheting around fleece and other creative fleece blanket techniques
  • Scrappy quilt ideas and live quilt demos
  • Using leftover fleece to make hats and scarves
  • Machine binding quilts and free-motion quilting on a regular sewing machine

Participants are encouraged to bring their sewing machines and enjoy a full day of sewing, creativity, and camaraderie. For those looking to relax, there will be a designated area to sit back, visit, crochet, knit, and help sew on labels. Lunch will be provided.
