Jon Day Named High School Principal at Christian Academy of Knoxville

The Christian Academy of Knoxville is pleased to announce that Mr. Jon Day has been named the new High School Principal. After serving as Interim Principal, Mr. Day has demonstrated exceptional leadership, a heart for students, and a deep commitment to CAK’s mission.

“The search for a new High School Principal has been exciting, with many great candidates! It was evident throughout the interview process that Jon Day is passionate about Christian education, CAK students, faculty, and moving our high school forward,” said CAK Head of School, Rich Fulford. “He is a great listener and an ‘out of the box’ problem solver. I am excited for Jon and our entire CAK community as he embarks on this journey with fresh ideas, godly humility, and a quiet confidence that comes from knowing who he is in Christ.”

Mr. Day has been a dedicated member of the CAK community since 2005 when he joined as a soccer coach. Over the years, he has served in various roles, including middle school technology teacher, assistant technology director, and high school assistant principal. His leadership and unwavering commitment to CAK’s students and faculty have made a lasting impact.

“CAK has played a critical role in my professional life and spiritual development,” said Jon Day. “I look forward to the opportunity to lead and love our CAK community through the grace of Jesus as high school principal.”

Jon and his wife, Amanda, have been deeply involved in the CAK family for years. Amanda, a CAK alumna, returned to her alma mater as a teacher in 2014. Together, they have three children, Charlie, Jackson, and Jenneh, all of whom have attended CAK.

CAK is excited about this new chapter under Mr. Day’s leadership and looks forward to the continued growth and excellence of the high school program.
