Knox PAWS matches eligible seniors with adoptable pets. Seniors 60 or older, living independently in Knox County, and meeting income requirements can receive a pet through the program. The CAC provides ongoing support, including veterinary exams, vaccinations, and heartworm/flea prevention.

Feed-A-Pet helps seniors who already own pets but struggle to provide food. The program offers monthly food assistance to those 60 or older with an annual income below 150% of the federal poverty level. Participants’ pets must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccines.
