With seven days before Election Day, the Knox County Election Commission wants to remind voters of a few important items:

 

Absentee by mail ballots

Tuesday, August 24, 2021 is the last day that City of Knoxville residents can request an absentee by mail ballot for the 2021 City of Knoxville Primary Election.

 

City of Knoxville residents can download the absentee by mail application from www.knoxvotes.org or can request one by calling the Election Commission office at 865-215-2480.

 

The ballot must be mailed back to the Knox County Election Commission. Ballots cannot be hand-delivered to either a polling place or to an Election Commission office.

 

Expanded hours for the last three days of in-person Early Voting

 

The days and expanded hours for the last three days of in-person Early Voting for the 2021 City of Knoxville Primary Election are:

 

  • Tuesday, August 24: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 25: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Meridian Baptist closes at 5 p.m. on this day)
  • Last day of Early Voting – Thursday, August 26: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. (City County location opens at noon on the last day)

 

 Election Day information

 Election Day information, including a polling place list and a Where do I vote? feature, will be updated on www.knoxvotes.org on Friday, August 27th, 2021 (after Early Voting has concluded).

 Please note: In this election, voters will vote for their district ONLY, so every voter will only have one race on his or her ballot. Voters in the City of Knoxville’s 5th City Council District cannot vote in this election.
