Though the pandemic has changed the way most are celebrating special events this year, the Knoxville High Senior Living community is determined to bring some Christmas cheer to the local community.

The community is hosting a Christmas in the City event, which will take place this Saturday, Dec. 19, from 5–9 p.m. and feature live performances throughout the evening.

From 5–7 p.m., there will be a live nativity scene featuring the Knoxville Choir. Later, between 7 and 8 p.m., the Angela Floyd School of Dance will put on a Rockette Show. Finally, from 8–9 p.m., the K-Band will sing a variety of Christmas classics.

To accommodate public health and safety, members of the wider Knoxville community are invited to “drive through” Knoxville High Senior Living to enjoy the performances. All participants in the festivities will abide by local health authority guidelines to ensure the safety of all involved.
