The public is invited to join Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett for lunch on Friday, April 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jackie’s Dream Cafe in East Knoxville. The restaurant, which is known for its soul food and hot chicken, is located at 2223 McCalla Ave and has been locally-owned and operated since 2015.

During the Lunch with the Mayor event, Jackie’s Dream will offer a lunch special of fish, potatoes & onions, slaw and homemade hushpuppies and a drink (not normally included with the special) for $10.  The entire menu is available online at www.jackiesdream.com/.

The public is invited and other elected officials may be in attendance.  As always, attendees will be responsible for purchasing their own meals. The restaurant accepts cash, credit and debit cards.
