Make Music Knoxville (MMK) is a free celebration of community music-making designed to engage neighbors across the city on Monday, June 21. Make Music Knoxville is the first local edition of a worldwide Make Music Day initiative held on the summer solstice.
Throughout the day, Make Music Knoxville events will be held at Zoo Knoxville, Battlefield Farm and Gardens, Knoxville Museum of Art, Parkridge Neighborhood, Ijams Nature Center, Central Collective, The Bottom and the home of Real Knoxville Music.
Performers include Three Rivers Quartet, author Brian Griffin, Kelle Jolly Trio, Knoxville School of Rock performing blues music alongside live painting, Music for Mailboxes by composer Tim Woody, a percussion parade featuring “Flowerpot Music” by Nief Norf, Tinca Tinca, Max Dope and other FRVR hip-hop artists and more!
