What: Carter Elementary School check presentation and tour

Next week, Knox County will take possession of the new Carter Elementary School building during a ceremonial check presentation event.  Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett will present Partners Development with a ceremonial check in exchange for the keys to the new school.  The Mayor will be joined by Superintendent Dr. Jim McIntyre, Commissioner Dave Wright, School Board Member Mike McMillan, other elected officials and members of the community.

Immediately following the check presentation ceremony, attendees are invited to tour the new school.  There will also be a reception with light refreshments in the school’s cafeteria.
