While BBQ was the order of the day, individual Republican clubs from throughout the county provided dessert. Of course, in my opinion, the South Knox Republican Club had the most inventive. What a great cake!
Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett was on-hand to kick off the festivities. After introducing Con Hunley and The Chillbillies, featuring Knox County Juvenille Court Judge Tim Irwin, he posed for a picture with girlfriend, Kelly, and her daughter, Isabel.
The future of the Knox County Republican party pose at the Young Republican’s table. Let’s hear it for the girls!
I caught up with Knox County Commissioner Ed Shouse…we discussed the upcoming trustee appointment. Ed had initially applied for the appointment, but in the end, decided to withdraw his name from consideration- choosing rather to finish his term on Knox County commission. Congratulations to Craig Leuthold, and a tip of the hat to Ed Shouse.
