North Knoxville Medical Center Confirms 2025 Schedule for Comprehensive Birthing Classes
North Knoxville Medical Center is excited to announce the 2025 schedule for its birthing classes. These comprehensive courses are designed to prepare expectant parents for one of life’s most memorable moments.
The classes offer in-depth discussions on a variety of topics, including the stages of labor, what to expect during delivery, comfort measures, postpartum care, and newborn care. These topics aim to provide parents with the knowledge and confidence needed to navigate their childbirth journey and the early days of parenting. Classes are led by Childbirth Coordinator, Teresa Herndon, RNC, and designed to be interactive, providing ample opportunity for questions and discussions. Both new and experienced parents are encouraged to attend.
Two options are available to accommodate busy schedules:
-
Three-Part Course: Spanning three days, each session lasts three hours.
-
Single-Day Intensive Course: A 5-6 hour comprehensive class offered on select dates.
Dr. Toney, an OB GYN provider at Tennova Women’s Health Specialists & Midwifery Services, emphasizes the importance of preparation for childbirth. “Childbirth is a transformative experience, and being informed can make all the difference,” said Dr. Toney. “Our birthing classes provide parents with practical tools and knowledge to navigate labor, delivery, and the postpartum period confidently. Our goal is to empower families as they prepare to welcome their newest members.”
Expectant parents are encouraged to sign up early, as spots fill quickly. Registration details, dates, and times for the 2025 classes can be found by visiting the North Knoxville Medical Center Eventbrite page or calling 865-691-4248.
