Senator Massey receives perfect voting record on key issues for small businesses

(NASHVILLE) State Senator Becky Massey (R-Knoxville) has achieved a 100% small business voting record from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for the 2023-2024 legislative sessions.

“Tennessee is a pro-small business state because legislators like Massey are voting for policies that positively impact our business environment,” NFIB State Director Jim Brown said. “Massey understands the challenges many of our small business members are facing, including persistent inflation and an extremely tight labor market.”

The 2023-24 Voting Record includes 10 key votes in both chambers of the legislature on issues important to small businesses. Massey voted with small businesses on all 10 issues which include tax reform, tort reform, and strengthening the state’s right-to-work laws.

“Knoxville is proud to have thriving small businesses owned by members of our community, and I wholeheartedly support our local businesses,” said Massey. “Small businesses are the foundation of our state’s economy. It is critical for the General Assembly to maintain a supportive business climate so that small businesses can thrive. I am dedicated to opposing unnecessary regulations and excessive taxation that could stifle business development.”
