Smokin’ Salmon Swim Team hosts Pooch Plunge – a pool party for dogs!

Saturday, September 7, 2024, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

~ from the Knoxville Jewish Alliance

Mark your calendars, Knoxville dog lovers! This weekend, September 7th, there will be an epic dog pool party you and your pooch will not want to miss! The 3rd annual Pooch Plunge fundraiser will run from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Allen Rosen Aquatic Center located at the Arnstein Jewish Community Center, 6800 Deane Hill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37919. This event benefits the AJCC Smokin’ Salmon community swim team.

There is fun to be had by every pup! We have a large pool for the avid swimmer, a small and separately fenced shallow baby pool for our smaller breeds, and a large grassy area for the pups that wish for a less drenching experience.

It might be a pool party for the dogs, but it will be just as fun for the humans. We will have music, beverages, food truck, vendors, and more!

Event coordinator Kaleigh McVety, veterinarian and swim team parent, says “Everyone is welcome whether they do or do not have a doggy escort so please come out and enjoy yourselves while donating to a great cause!”
