South Knox County Man Shot During Home Invasion

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is searching for three suspects responsible for shooting a man during a Wednesday night home invasion in South Knox County.

The victim of the shooting, 66-year-old Eddie Burnett Moore of Edington Road, stated that he was visiting his brother, Larry Moore, at his home at 4321 Edington Road around 10:00 p.m. when three unidentified individuals wearing masks forced entry into the residence. The suspects demanded money, physically assaulted Eddie Moore, and then shot him. The suspects fled in a white Cadillac with rims.

Eddie Moore was transported to UT Hospital by Rural Metro. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time. Larry Moore was not injured during the incident.
