With the results of the March 5, 2024 election certified, the Election Commission is releasing a statistical profile of the voters that chose to vote in the March 5, 2024 election.

WHAT PERCENT OF ELIGIBLE VOTERS CAST A BALLOT?

60,049 votes cast from the 298,499 eligible voters. That represents 20.12% of eligible voters that cast a ballot.

NEW VOTERS

3,059 voters cast a ballot for the first time in Knox County.

HOW MANY SKIPPED THIS ELECTION THAT VOTED IN MARCH 2020 (THE SAME ELECTION FOUR YEARS PRIOR).

41,785 currently registered voters that voted in the March 2020 Presidential Preference Primary sat this election out.

WHO WERE THE VOTERS BY AGE RANGE?

Over 66% of all voters in this election were 55 years of age or older (total of 39,804) and less than 3% were between eighteen to twenty-four years of age (total of 1,758).
