The New Harvest Farmers’ Market Kicks Off on Thursday, April 24
Knox County and Nourish Knoxville will kick off this season’s New Harvest Park Farmers’ Market at 3 p.m. on Thursday April 25, with Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs ringing the opening bell.
Visitors will have the opportunity to peruse a wide variety of locally grown seasonal produce, meats, eggs, plants, prepared foods, and artisan craft products from more than 15 East Tennessee vendors.
The market, located at New Harvest Park (4775 New Harvest Lane), is free and open to the public. It runs every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. from May to September.
The Nourish Moves program takes place every Thursday. Participants can pick up pedometers at the Nourish Knoxville Community Booth, then stroll through the market and nearby park. Each visit earns $3 in Produce Bucks to spend at the market, with additional prizes awarded to frequent walkers who reach key milestones. The program is open to all ages.
Additionally, the market will continue to offer SNAP & Double UP Food Bucks, this means SNAP transactions will be doubled up to $20 per day which can be spent on fresh fruits and vegetables.
The 2025 New Harvest season will also host the popular Nourish Kids program engaging children ages 2 – 12 in the local food system through fun and educational activities the third Thursday of every month.
