A New FCAC Open Competition: Photography!

Barry Seaton and Clay Thurston will be the judges for our very first “just photography” competition on exhibit from July 29 – August 26. If you or your friends and family would like to enter, you can get the guidelines and categories for the competition from our website, by email from the Director, or by just coming by the Center. Send in your title, price, and category info to get your entry number in advance, and bring in your framed photos from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26. Be sure to read the guidelines well in advance.

Summer Rose Tea, Saturday, August 6, 2016

This year’s Fountain City Art Center Summer Rose Tea will feature a fashion show by Judy Gardner of the Silk Purse. Our in-house LeGrand Music Studio will provide guitar music. The Teas always feature incredible desserts and sandwiches made by Art Center members. MEN and WOMEN both are invited to attend; RSVP’ are due one week ahead, $25 per person.

We will have the traditional awards for the “Best Hat” and the “Best Decorated Table.” We’d like to keep the table seating at six people per table. Young people may attend, but be sure the child is at least 8 years old and is comfortable sitting at a table for an hour or more. Wear nice summer clothes, not jeans and t-shirts, please. Hats are encouraged, but they are optional. We will have a small selection of Silent Auction items; credit cards will be accepted.
