The McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will offer a free stroller tour celebrating winter and the holidays on Monday, Dec. 16.

Parents and caregivers with toddlers or babies are invited to meet in the museum’s lobby before taking a winter-themed tour of the museum’s decorative arts gallery, “The Decorative Experience.” The 10 to 11 a.m. tour features works of art from around the world. It is part of a monthly series of free stroller tours that allow parents and caregivers to interact with one another and museum staff without the worry of disrupting other visitors.

The program is free and open to the public, but reservations are necessary due to gallery capacity. Online registration is preferred, and is available at http://mcclungmuseumstrollertour.eventbrite.com. Participants also may call the museum at 865-974-2144 to make a reservation.

The first stroller tour of the new year will be held Jan. 25, 2014, and will focus on the upcoming special exhibition “Glass of the Ancient Mediterranean.” Registration for stroller tours opens one month before the event.

The McClung Museum is located at 1327 Circle Park Drive. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.
