Dr. Anthony Fauci should not be regarded as some sort of God-like, heroic figure. In fact, the real hero is Sen. Rand Paul for having the courage to expose Dr. Fauci’s misinformation, wrong decisions, bad advice, and straight lies.
Fauci somehow became the highest paid federal employee with a salary higher even than the president.
I agree with Sen. Paul that Fauci should be fired but of course he won’t be.
He is a career bureaucrat having worked at the National Institute of Health since 1968. He apparently never practiced medicine.
It has now been reported many places that Fauci funneled millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which many people believe was the source of the Covid-19 virus.
Now, too, his emails show he attempted to cover up his role in funding this very dangerous research.
The Washington Examiner reported on June 2nd that Fauci “quietly worked behind the scenes to help cast doubt on the Wuhan lab leak possibility.”
This came out in the more than 3200 emails obtained by the BuzzFeed online publication under the Freedom of Information Act.
One of those emails showed that on January 31st, 2020 NIH scientist Kristian Andersen told Fauci that the Wuhan virus looked “potentially engineered.”
The Townhall website said “In other words, it was manipulated in a lab through gain of function research.”
In spite of this email, Fauci continued to push the lab-creation theory and to deny that he supported gain of function research.
Yet, Newsweek reported that Fauci sent $7.4 million to the Wuhan lab to fund “gain of function work, which involves manipulating viruses in the lab to explore their potential for infecting humans.”
The New York Post reported on May 28th that Fauci, in October of 2012, wrote an article for the American Society of Microbiology that said even in the “conceivable term of events” if a scientist “becomes infected with the virus, which leads to an outbreak and ultimately a pandemic…the benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweigh the risks.”
On June 3rd, Admiral Brett Giroir, a former four-star admiral in the Public Health Service and former Secretary of Human Services, said he believes the virus came from a Wuhan lab leak and criticized those who have pooh-poohed the leak theory only because it was first mentioned by President Trump.
Writer Cherie Zaslawsky, in a column on the Renew America online publication, said Fauci could be described as an “angel of death” for the following:
“Dictating the draconian lockdown of America putting the public under virtual house arrest, destroying the livelihood of millions of our citizens, and driving many to despair and some to suicide while killing others via denial of normal medicine care to make room for the millions of covid hospitalizations which never occurred.”
She added: “Declaring hydroxychloroquine ‘ineffective’, thereby condemning whomever got this highly successful treatment.”
One other shocking thing: Every Democrat in the U.S. Senate voted for a Rand Paul amendment to investigate the lab leak theory.
This was a CYA note because these senators had begun to realize they were looking foolish for having first attacked the lab-leak possibility because of their obsessive hatred for President Trump.
