Farragut Community Center to host health and wellness fair

Shop Farragut in partnership with the Town of Farragut will host the fifth Farragut Health & Wellness Expo presented by Turkey Creek Medical Center/Tennova.  The free event will feature unique presentations by the medical center staff and over three dozen additional local businesses who specialize in the care of the human body, mind and spirit!  The expo will showcase the products and services currently available in our community for your comfort and well-being supporting your healthy lifestyle.

The expo will take place on Sunday, February 2, between 1 and 5 p.m. in the Farragut Community Center located at 239 Jamestowne Blvd. just north of Village Green Shopping Center and Planet Fitness on Campbell Station Road.

Patrons can visit booths offering a wide variety of services and retail. For example, Beltone will be set up to conduct hearing tests and JC Penney Beauty & Salon will conduct special healthy hair and skin demos.  Other committed vendors include Campbell Station Jazzercise, Window Hero, SweatHouz, Apotheca, Clean Eatz, Eden Family Chiropractic, Support Her Wellness, Way with Sarah, Thrive Physical Therapy, The Exercise Coach – Farragut, Ash Chiropractic and Wellness, Healing Hands Spa, Poppet’s Play Place, Neighborhood Barre, Courtley Chiropractic, Kat’s Lash Lounge & Wax Studio, Skin by Jenn, Sound Healer/Meditation Teacher, Adapt & Stay, HearingLife, Redeem Health & Chiropractic, KCDP District 5, The Link Chiropractic, Be More Than Fit, Emily Houston Esthetics, Corrective Chiropractic, Tim Baird with Farm Bureau Insurance and Y-12 Federal Credit Union will pro-actively discuss your financial well-being.

Additionally, Farragut RN and certified health coach Karyn Smydra will conduct an extensive workshop, “Empowering Your Health through Nutrition” beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Then medical professionals from Tennova – Turkey Creek Medical Center will be conducting short talks and Q&As on a variety of heart-related health topics.  “AFIB 101” begins at 1:00 p.m.

A special Wellness Pavillion is being hosted by Crunchy Mama Box Wellness Resources that will showcase over a dozen specialty product providers from across the world.  Their goal is to save time and money for families who are looking for healthy products made with sustainable packaging.

The local MUCHO GUSTO Food Truck will be on hand throughout the event for lunch and early dinner type menu items.

This special event is free to the public.  Parking is available at the Farragut Community Center, 239 Jamestowne Blvd., and close by at Village Green Shopping Center.
