Knox County Farm Bureau Honored with President Award

During the 103rd annual meeting of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation in December, Knox County Farm Bureau was recognized for its accomplishments and successes from the past year. Knox County Farm Bureau President John Jared was recognized onstage for the county’s exemplary programs and service in advocacy, organizational advancement and leadership development.

President Jared stated: “The award represents a team effort among Farm Bureau board members, office managers, agents and customer service representatives. As a result, the organization delivers educational programs annually to the citizens of Knox County through agriculture, youth, family and community involvement. It is an honor to be recognized locally and statewide for the outstanding work conducted and delivered in 2024. As an indicator of program success, Knox County Farm Bureau continues to maintain the largest membership of any county in the state with well over 27,000 members.”

According to Farm Bureau State President Eric Mayberry, “Knox County Farm Bureau is to be commended for the member’s hard work, well-earned success and impressive membership achievements over the past year.”

Tennessee Farm Bureau is the largest Farm Bureau in the nation with a membership of more than 695,000. The organization has served as the voice of agriculture since 1921. Its mission a century later remains to develop, foster, promote and protect programs, including economic, social, educational and political, for the well-being of farm families.
