Liberals: Believe Us Or Your Lyin’ Eyes
When people ask me about “the good old days” and what do I miss the most, I always say people being able to think for themselves and make up their own minds. There are more and more reports taking up what I had already written about in a recent editorial; that is the fact Joe Biden was dumped after the entirety of the Democratic Party and the majority of the national media all shamelessly and deliberately participated in one of the biggest lies ever told. The lie being that Joe Biden was as sharp as a tack. The “deep fake” videos the incompetent Karine Jean-Pierre talked about never existed. There was nothing fake about Barack Obama leading a confused and dazed Joe Biden off the stage at the Hollywood fundraiser. It was there George C-Looney noticed Biden was cognitively impaired but said nothing about it until the party chieftains gathered together and stabbed Joe Biden to death politically just as Caesar’s friends murdered him. In other words, Jean-Pierre was lying about the supposedly altered videos. None has surfaced to date and if they really existed does anyone doubt the media would have played them again and again, over and over? The entire world would have seen them by now.
The truth of the matter is the national Democrats will lie and they are liars who lie to the American people to gain power and keep it.
What we are supposed to believe now is the Democrats in Congress, the talking heads in the national media on MSDNC, CNN, and the other countless outlets that are little more than extensions of the Democratic Party, were all positively shocked by Joe Biden’s pitiful performance in the presidential debate. They had no idea! They could barely believe their eyes and ears. When did this happen? Well, we all know it’s been happening for the last 3 ½ years. All the signs and outright evidence of poor old Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline has been well-documented, but these folks have all claimed it to be right-wing propaganda or “deep fakes.” There has been a ton of propaganda spewed but it has come from the very people claiming the truth is actually right-wing propaganda. It’s all based on the same theory espoused long ago by Dr. Josef Goebbels, Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda. His theory was tell a lie often enough and before long people will believe it is the truth.
Biden’s downward spiral didn’t happen all at once. The commentariat of the country and the Democrats in Congress simply looked the other way, did their best to pretend Biden was strong, vigorous and decisive, a brilliant leader, when all the evidence would have caused a rational person to wonder who was really running the country.
We were told Biden’s standing there like a statue amid a joyous crowd dancing at a concert was nothing more than never having been one to dance. There had been plenty of time to nominate someone else and allow Democrats to vote for their preferred candidate. Instead, the Democrats greased the skids to keep prospective candidates from challenging Biden in the primaries. Those same self-appointed defenders of democracy show they don’t even know the meaning of the word by lining up behind Kamala Harris who got exactly the same number of votes in the primary as our little dog, Sophie. That would be NONE. It’s only slightly worse than her campaign for president in 2020 when she got less than 2% and was one of the first candidates to drop out. The same media now singing Kamala’s praises found her less than impressive just four years ago.
Kamala Harris will be the first candidate in generations not to have received a single vote inside the primaries to win the nomination of a major party, but we are supposed to believe these people love democracy.
They had every opportunity to observe Biden’s all too obvious decline and do something about it. They preferred to maintain the lie and hoped you’d all believe it. Voters consistently mentioned Biden’s advanced age in polling data as a serious concern. Democrats stomped on any among them who deviated from the official party line that Joe Biden was in tip-top shape. Joe Scarborough looked directly into the TV cameras and lied, telling us the present Joe Biden was the best Biden there ever was. One journalist wisely wrote that rarely ever “are so many people exposed as liars and hypocrites” at one time.
The next question any intelligent person would rightly ask, would be: what else are they lying about?
Woke To Broke
When companies go woke, they oftentimes head toward broke. Just ask the folks at Bud Light whose marketing wizard came up with the brilliant idea of taking the favorite beer of working Americans and giving it a drag queen or trans spokeswoman. Clearly, whoever thought of that brilliant marketing strategy had no idea who bought their beer. When woke and DEI enter sports, people start turning off their television sets. So, now the Olympics has to show its own commitment to the woke agenda by allowing the mockery of one of Christianity’s most deeply held convictions and beliefs: the Last Supper of Christ. Just why this was allowed at the Olympic games, which have nothing to do with art, is proof enough of inserting things that don’t fit to be a part of the narrative promoted by the activist Left. Think, if you can, for just a moment, to ask yourself how tolerant the Left in this country – – – or any other for that matter would be if the mockery had depicted the Muslim prophet Muhammad as a drag queen. The Left would have had a vapor lock, not sure which constituency to side with. Riots would have erupted in the streets of Paris and Iran or Hezbollah would have likely killed citizens in France in retaliation. There is NO tolerance for mocking any organized religion in the United States and apparently at the Olympic games except for Christianity. Of course, there is no war on Christianity, mind you. Oh, no. That is another lie told by the Left.
City Council Should Be Elected By Districts Only
The Left tries to pretend to be inclusive while all the time practicing the politics of power. Disagree with them and find out what that means. The Knoxville City Council is trying to evade allowing voters to choose their own representatives by having voters elect all their representation at large. That is a leftover practice from back in the day which limited the ability of Black citizens to be elected to the city council. These days it would keep people in office like Seema Singh, who failed to win the election inside the district she supposedly represents. There are three members of city council who are elected by the people at-large, which is more than enough. Why does the council hate the idea of actually having members elected to represent districts? Because they might not be socialists and could very well have the gall to represent the people who elected them, not the folks across town. But, by golly, they, too, love democracy, even when it denies communities their own representation.
