Martin Daniel Elected Knox Co. GOP Chairman

Congratulations to former state Representative Martin Daniel, who was elected chairman of Knox County’s Republican Party. Daniel won a decisive victory over incumbent Buddy Burkhardt by waging a person-to-person campaign. Daniel campaigned hard, speaking personally to most of the delegates to the convention. The former state representative carried a fighting message and promised to make the Knox County Republican Party stronger and presented a comprehensive plan for his administration. It was a message that resounded with a large majority of the assembled delegates.

Daniel has never lost an election and is a fighting Republican and promises to carry the fight to the Democrats locally. Martin Daniel ran on a pledge to bring the Knox County Republican Party together in unity and harmony. That will be his biggest challenge.

Great Job, Tom Homan

Border crossings were at a new low for the month, according to figures released by Border Czar Tom Homan. The total for March was 7,181. Homan, who began his career as a border agent 41 years ago, says he cannot recall a month where attempted border crossings were that low. The figures from March 2025 represent a 94% decrease from a year ago. There were record numbers of illegal aliens crossing our southern borders under the Biden administration with its open borders policy. The total number believed to have crossed our borders illegally, including the “gotaways,” was estimated to be 12.5 million.

California governor Gavin Newsom is asking for a bailout for Medi-Cal of a whopping $2.8 billion, along with a request for $3.4 billion more to fund the program. California has spent $9.5 billion on the health care of illegal aliens and acknowledged at a press conference that was at least partially the blame for the huge figures expended by taxpayers. California is currently spending approximately $5,000 per illegal alien in health care costs.

Texas has jailed more than 451,000 criminal aliens over a fourteen-year period. At least 322,000 of that number are acknowledged to be in the country illegally. That number includes 7,177 sexual assault charges, 73,025 assault charges, 1,043 homicide charges, 28,601 theft charges, 65,896 drug charges, 8,189 sexual offense charges, and 7,024 weapons charges. A total of 564,000 combined criminal charges have been brought against illegal aliens in Texas.

Will Democrats Ever Learn?

Democrats don’t understand the values of real Americans as evidenced by the Democrats in the Georgia state house, who staged a walkout over a bill that prohibits state taxpayers from paying for sex change operations of prison inmates. State Senator Randy Robinson’s bill prohibits taxpayer dollars from paying for transgender medical treatments. The bill prohibits taxpayers from paying for inmate surgeries as well as hormonal treatments. One Democrat accused Georgia Republicans for having “manufactured culture wars.” Really? Who started the woke agenda? It certainly wasn’t Republicans. Who was it insisting that people be fired from their jobs for not using what they considered to be the proper pronouns? Who asserted that identifying as this gender or that gender made it so? It was not Republicans. Who voted almost solidly against a bill keeping women’s sports for biological women? It was not Republicans. The war on women isn’t being waged by Republicans. We’ve just seen last week a biological woman refuse to fence with an opponent who was not. It was not the Republicans who injected the bacillus of gender ideology and turning science on its head with what are frankly stupid notions. There aren’t as many as 72 genders. There are a total of two.

It wasn’t the Republicans who wanted to censor free speech, nor is it the GOP who hail blatant antisemitism as free speech. That seems to be the only kind of free speech some Democrats like or approve of. It wasn’t the Republicans who traded off manufacturing and union jobs to bolster foreign economies.

It isn’t the Republicans who hate this country. The Democratic Party, once a great political party, either maintains silence about its past presidents or berates them. The only great president many of them will claim is Obama. The Democrats have become a party dominated by coastal elites whose distaste for average and working Americans is so palpable it reeks. The same is true for their media golems who parrot the narrative of the Democratic establishment. Joe Biden was sharp as a tack up until he faced Donald Trump on the debate stage. Then it was obvious to even a moron that poor old Joe had pudding for brains. The mainstream media lied its collective heinie off time and again and they weren’t the only ones. With Christopher Wray gone it is now an established fact that the FBI knew the laptop did indeed belong to Hunter Biden, yet it still tried to discourage anything coming to light through social media. As it happens, there was a gag order from up above.

The same people who denigrate Christianity are the same people who think it is fine to kill Jewish people. The Democratic Party used to be the party for millions of Jewish people.

The truth is they really are for “they” and “them” while Donald Trump and the Republicans are for US.

New This Week: There Oughta Be a Law

Every week we will add “There Oughta Be a Law” to the Publisher’s Position.  We will make recommendations as to President Trump’s executive orders and other proposals that should be codified by Congress and become permanent law.

There oughta be a law!  There are 677 federal district judges all across the United States.  For instance, there are federal judges for the districts of East, Middle and West Tennessee.  Presently, we have district judges who are operating less on a judicial basis than a political basis.  While both Republican and Democrat presidents appoint federal judges, the Founding Fathers never intended for the third branch of the government, the judiciary, to be hyper partisan.  There were a total of 15 injunctions issued by district judges during the entire four years of the Biden administration.  There have already been 15 injunctions, all issued by Democrat appointed federal district judges, during the first sixty days of the Trump administration.  While Democrats might try and argue that the Biden administration operated within the law, the record amply demonstrates that was hardly true.  One example should suffice: the Biden administration literally ignored the US Supreme Court’s ruling it could not forgive student loans.

Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa is sponsoring a bill which clearly defines the scope of federal district judges.  For instance, if a student is picked up to be deported in Boston, the judge for that district would properly hear that case.  It eliminates the “shopping” for friendly judges all across the country who might be sympathetic with the viewpoint of the petitioner.  The entire country is NOT the purview or playground of every federal district judge in America.

There oughta be a law and hopefully Grassley’s bill will be passed by Congress.
