It stands on the grounds of the Gibbs Ruritan Park near the highway.  The day I visited the free little library, both shelves were chock-full of books!

Free Little Libraries have sprung up all across the nation in recent years with the creative idea to “take a book, leave a book.”  Carrie Ryan and her husband are responsible for constructing the Lending Library for the Gibbs Community.  It is not surprising that the mother of three would invest in a project to encourage reading among children.

Give the gift of reading by stopping by the “Lending Library” at 7827 Tazewell Pike in front of the Gibbs Ruritan Club Building.  Everyone is welcome!  What a wonderful way to instill the love of reading in children!
